Our President, Chris Urquhart, started in the landscaping industry in 1986 with nothing but a truck and a dream, but thanks to a lot of hard work and technical knowledge, he has made Green Unlimited the largest independent lawn care company in the Greater Ottawa area.

This was no accident; the reason we’ve been able to achieve this success is because we use science to build beautiful, healthy lawns from the ground up. We do this by administering a soil test—free of charge—for every new customer, which is sent to a neutral, third-party lab. What this does is it allows us to see what’s going on with your turf on a micro level, so that we can address any fundamental issues that may exist, rather than just applying treatment and hoping for the best.

In addition to using science as the foundation for everything we do, we also ensure that our team members continue to learn and grow so that we can offer the greatest, most efficient treatments and customer service possible. This culture of learning and growth is fostered by attending various industry trade shows and seminars so that we can be on the cutting edge of the industry, taking various professional development and strategic planning courses that we can operate more efficiently and better serve our customers, and by encouraging one another to read and pursue various personal development goals so that we can become the best possible versions of ourselves.
